Responsibilities and Duties of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

  • Monitor the outflow and inflow of capital for the company. Communicating with our clients, vendors and banks to improve the ease and accuracy of cashflow.
  • Monitor client information in Applicant Tracking System (HealthcareSource CTM system).
  • Review client invoices and make simple changes when necessary, working with Client Manager.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile credit card charges and payments.
  • Route invoices for approval.
  • Prepared and input daily cash receipts into A/R system.
  • Prepare credit memos and billing adjustment requests for approval by Director of Finance.
  • Prepare G/L entries for approval by Director of Finance.
  • Assist in interpreting and resolving accounts receivable problems with clients.

Qualifications of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are essential to this position
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Required associate degree in accounting or related
  • Accounting experience: 3-5 years
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Years Experience: 3 to 5 years
